OPEN ENDING An open ending is when the audience is left confused and is also known as a cliffhanger, there are also loads of prons and cons on open endings. For example, the audience can have a sense of security of a film, many people get attached to the film therefore if a cliffhanger is left they can have hope for a sequel. It also increases relevance, as films are usually forgotten after people have watched them, for example, fast and furious have had so many new films and have stayed relevant till this day. However a con is many people can get angry as they have been watched a film for an hour or so and for it to not end with no confusion is quite frustrating. Usually, when films end with an open ending a continuous film comes out however people may not like it as much as the first one as they see it as something that has run out of ideas.
