Pulp fiction
The un flashy lightening used in the Restaurant where Vincent and Mia have dinner together and end up dancing together, the lightening sets the mood and portrays the chemistry between these two. The lightening also accentuates Mia's appearance, which makes Vincent struggle to maintain his duty as a gentleman who was chosen by his boss to keep his wife entertained.

He is holding a gun in front of this man and the shot is low angle clearly showing who is inferior and who is superior. This allows the audience to know who is control.

The color scheme of Mia's house is very white and clean, white is a symbol of innocence however that the exact opposite of what Mia and Mr. Wallace. They both commit crimes and not what you would call innocent. The color scheme shows a juxtaposition of their house and of their personality. It is also a
massive juxtaposition between Vincent as he is dressed in all black in this very White House showing he doesn't belong there.

It also tells the audience that they are hiding something and making sure no one find out. This heightens their criminal characteristics. Mia uses a intercom to speak to Vincent showing that she is the more dominant one. Taratino technique of mine en scene is to engage the audience with different narrative and visual techniques to express the films definition.
